5 insightful tips on how to keep your eating habit healthy:
Tips 1:
  • Do more of your cooking at home: it enables you to have perfect control over what you eat and monitors the kind of food that goes into stomach.
  • Try making it simple: don’t try to pay too much attention to counting calories, just think of your diet in terms of its color, variety, and taste. always opt for more fresh ingredients.
  • Read the nutritional facts: this helps know what your food contains, regulating your nutritional intake from foods.

 Tips 2:
  • Avoid too much sugary drinks:always drink much of  sparkling clean water with a splash of fruit juice, to enhance a good state of well- being
  • Eat healthier snacks: try cut down excess sweet snacks, and take more natural sweet food such as fruit, peppers, or natural peanut butter to satisfy your sweet taste.
Tips 3:
  • Greens: Aside from the nutritional benefits of Efo  (Wild Vegetable), Efo Ewuro (Bitter Leaves), Afang leaves, ugu, Efo Tete (African Spanish), they’re also very rich in calcium, iron, potassium, zinc, and vitamins. I’ll advise you eat enough of these vegetables, because of their nutritional value.
  • Use herbs and spices: spices like garlic, curry powder, cayenne or black pepper help improve the flavor of meals instead of salt.

 Tips 4:
  • Watch your salt intake: Sodium is another m ust add ingredient that improves tastes in food, even though your body needs about half a teaspoon of table salt per day, eating too much of it (salt) can lead to high blood pressure, increasing the risk of having stroke, heart and kidney disease, loss of memory , and erectile dysfunction.
  • Fruits: these are also very tasty-rich in fibers, antioxidants, and vitamins. Berries fight against cancer, apples provide fiber, oranges and  mangoes offer vitamin C, and many more.

Tips 5:
  • Enjoy healthy fats: All fats are not unhealthy, there are “good” and” bad” fats. “Bad” fats can increase your risk of certain diseases; “good” fats maintain your physical and emotional well-being. Foods that are rich in certain omega-3 fats can reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease.
